TOPIC: FRESH FIRE(2)


TEXT: Phil 3:8-9

_What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ_ 


LESSON


To be on fire requires us to see other things as nothing relative to knowing and doing the will of God. The higher you climb, the smaller the things on the earth become to you. If you are in a plane, the higher you fly, the smaller the things on the earth appear until they finally disappear into nothing. This is what it means to be on fire. It is a life of total consecration unto God. It is a life filled with faith and love for God. It is a life totally yielded to God. It is a life that cannot be consumed by the demands of life but which rather takes all to calvary and leave them there for the cross to deal with .It is a life that always counts the cost of following Jesus and has made his mind to follow all the way without disruption.

Apostle Paul in the above text mentioned the price for divine knowledge. Could it be that costly? Until there is absolute consecration, there is no room to receive the true knowledge of God. You must desire it and crave for it above else.Tarry with it in your meditation and imagination.Then the light of truth will dawn upon your heart.To be on fire for God is not just a wish, you must count the cost and take the step.

When all else is behind,  you will discover that God cares about all things. However,  as long as the worries of life are before you, you will miss the loving care of the father because you cannot see it. You need to clear your sight so that you can see the love of God.


PRAYER  ALERT

Thank you father for your love and care. Open my eyes to see this love so that i can put all else beside me.
