TOPIC: FRESH FIRE (1)


TEXT: 1 Cor 9:24-25

 _Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize._. 


LESSONS

Fire is a symbol of active operation. When the Holy Ghost came upon the disciples( Act 2:1-5), it was in form of fire. Whenever we say the move of the Spirit.It means the Spirit is working! The kinetic energy of the Spirit in a man is the anointing ! This is called _Dunamis_ in greek. It is from the word  _Dynamic_.


The Holy Ghost is actively operating and his operating centre is the heart of men which is also the throne of God ! God is in heaven but operates through the hearts of men that are on fire for him. Whenever we also say that a man is on fire, it means he is one of the actively functioning Holy Ghost centres on the earth ! ( 1Cor 9:16).This is the fire of God that brings active manifestation of his presence in Power, Grace and Glory.This is the mark of true witnesses( Mat 11:1;10).


Are you ready to be on fire for God? what are the marks of a man on fire for God?


1.The consciousness of his assignment on the earth makes the man to run ! Running means being active and the Holy Ghost will work through him because he is also conscious of the work God is doing through him. Men on fire will always ask, what is God doing ?and they yield to it at all cost.That is why God shifted base from Peter operating centre to Paul operating centre! From Jerusalem to Antioch etc. Are you fully conscious of what God is doing in you ,through you and the moves of God in this generation? You must crave for it if you want to be on fire for God! 


PRAYER ALERT


Father! Set me on Fire for you in Jesus name
