TOPIC: BURNING BUT NOT BURNT


TEXT: Ex 3:3(NIV)

_So Moses thought, "I will go over and see this strange sight — why the bush does not burn up."_


LESSONS

These are the kind of men that God will work with and work through. 

If the bush was consumed, then you have seen a fire that will not last! Three things are responsible for the sustenance of a fire. The oxygen, the fuel and the ignition. If one of it is lacking, the fire will disappear! In this story, the fuel was the grass so if it has been consumed, then the fire will go off. The other components which include the oxygen and the ignition are the Spirit and the word. A man that is burning but not consumed is never satisfied with the manifestation of God but craves for more. He is climbing higher as he attains the greater heights. The bush must not be consumed. John the Baptist was a man that was at a time burning but ultimately got burnt by the opposition that confronted his calling. He was offended at Jesus! ( Mat 11:1-5).


John 5:35

 _John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you chose for a time to enjoy his light._


You must be able to handle discouragements and offenses if you will be a trusted and lasting vessel in God’s hand. 


If you will not put off the fire by your hand.

If you will not be burnt as you burn, you must treasure your altar. That is where you alter things. Keep his original vision before you always, stand in his authority alone and never put trust in physical things.


PRAYER ALERT

Father! Remove from my life all that consumed your fire brands before they finished their tasks in the name of Jesus!
