TOPIC: WRONG ATMOSPHERE


TEXT: Matt 13:58

_And he did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief”._


LESSONS

This was a story of Jesus filled with the Holy Ghost and in time of His manifestation.It was the right time for manifestation however wrong atmosphere hindered him. The same is happening to the Holy Ghost today. The Spirit in the life of some is just like a man in prison.He cannot do anything.The atmosphere is bad. But He will still remain as long as the person is still a believer though dormant. The Holy Spirit is like in prison in the life of some.


Right atmosphere is inevitable to correct growth just like a seed needs proper soil with right nutrients in adequate composition for it to grow. The word of God is a seed with great potentials. In fact, it can do and will do anything including all impossibilities if well planted in faith. With all that is embedded in it, it will remain dormant if not well planted in faith ,revelation that  births corresponding life in the heart of the humble receiver.


So,the atmosphere of the heart determines how much God will be able to work within a man though it is God at work in us both to will and to do all of his good pleasure.To a pious ,He appears  as pious,to a crooked, appears as crooked though that is not how He is but how he sees. So,we see as we are. Vision is the sight from the heart. A perverted heart with unbelief,  prejudice and pride can never see correctly. He is being filled with his own opinion and cannot accept the truth. He is quick to argue even against obvious truth.You don’t argue with a man that does not want to accept the truth not because he does not know the truth. It is a mark of foolishness altogether. Don’t correct a man that is full of himself ,he will turn against you and bite you heavily. A man that is full of self defense will not submit to the Holy Ghost also.We need to have an atmosphere of heart that is totally empty of self, submissive to the truth,  willing to know the truth and longing to please God only. Every other motives are pollutants.


Give up on traditions to receive revelations. Traditions and revelation do not go together. If you are used to how it used to be done ,you may never know how it ought to be done.Traditions and religions are friends.


Be inquisitive but not argumentative. God has not made you the judge of any. A critic is mostly blinded to his own errors but quick to pick  the slightest error in the life of others. Remove the log in your own eyes first with every jot of revelation you receive.Let it be a lamp in your heart before you use it to search the life of others. Even that ,you cannot except the Lord uses you for others in that way. Simply share the truth that you know at the right time and let the Holy Ghost do the work of conviction and conversion. Every argument steps out of trying to convince another with contrary opinion. If it is your opinion, you need to argue to make men believe but if it is the truth, it is the work of the Holyghost to do that. If it is traditions,a lot of laws are needed to make men conform. But if it is the truth, the Spirit does the work of genuine conversion which springs forth from the heart. A living work indeed. 


PRAYER ALERT

Lord ,help me to renew my heart daily with word so that your work will not be hindered in  my life(Roman 12:2)
